How to work the knitwear: The Ballet cardigan combines everything I love about knitting: chunky needles set a fast pace, the pattern that provides clear instructions at every step - and within just a few days, you’re cruising through the final rows. A sense of satisfaction at your accomplishment is guaranteed!
The Ballet cardigan is intentionally oversized, designed to create a light, fluffy layer that floats over your outfit. The cropped length makes it ideal for pairing with dresses or tucking into the waistband of jeans.
The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the neck, then divide them for the fronts, back, and sleeves, and work the yoke. The yoke is shaped with raglan and neckline increases until the sleeves are separated from the body. Next, work the body to the hem, then knit the sleeves. Finally, work the front band.

Size guide
The cardigan is designed to be worn with approx. 15-20 cm / 6-8” of positive ease at bust - so the size doesn’t have to be too precise. First, measure your own bust (or your widest upper body part). Then, add 15-20 cm / 6-8” to your bust circumference. You can also measure your favourite mohair cardigan. Compare that number to the finished measurements (above) and choose the closest size.
